The Clerk and Master for Johnson County is Sherrie Fenner. Sherrie is the court official for the Chancery and Probate Courts who is the principal administrative court clerk providing assistance in the areas of courtroom administration, records management, docket maintenance, revenue management, maintenance of court minutes, official communications and various other court-associated duties. The office of the Clerk and Master was established by the Constitution of the State of Tennessee.
Sherrie began working in the Clerk and Master’s office in 1991 as Deputy Clerk and was appointed in 2013 to her position as Clerk and Master. She is currently serving her second term as Clerk and Master under Chancellor John C. Rambo, 1st Judicial District of the State of Tennessee. Sherrie has served as Vice President for the East TN State Court Clerk’s Association, is a University of Tennessee Certified Public Administrator and a graduate of 2016-17 Johnson County, TN Leadership Class program.

Casey was deputized as Deputy Clerk and Master in 2017. Casey is an at will employee of the Clerk of the Chancery Court appointed by Sherrie Fenner, Clerk and Master to assist in the efficient performance of her duties in the administration of the policies and procedures of the Chancery Court, the Clerk and Master’s Office, and Johnson County, Tennessee. The Deputy Clerk and Master is a deputized officer of the Chancery Court and is charged with upholding the local rules of that court, the statutes of the State of Tennessee, and the Constitution of the United States without prejudice, partiality or favor.
